From Squid User's Guide

Hi friends i installed squid stable 2.6 in WhiteBox but in the moment of run tihis command service squid restart appears this error: Could not determine fully quilified hostname please set visible hostname.

do anyone can help me? tanx

Is it possible to configure the squid server which automatically identifies the users in the network, eventhough they didn'tconfigure the proxy settings in the browser.

This will help the users to use their laptop to use their laptop at home and in office without any change in settings at their side
